Change in SSL certificate has broken app

Hello, firstly apologies if I'm logging this in the wrong forum, or if I don't include the right information!

 

We have procured the development of a BlackBerry app to be deployed in the BESv5.0 environment that accesses secure webservices.

 

On Monday, the SSL certificate for the webservices was changed (as it had run out of date), and since then our app no longer functions. BES Users get an error message Access Denied: Insecure SSL Request.

 

BIS users were prompted to trust the certificate and then access was allowed.

 

Our developers are trying to resolve the problem, but I'm hoping to circumvent the problem by asking you! Does anyone have any ideas? Do you need more info?

Hi,

 

It's likely that the BES has policies in place to disallow connections to HTTPS sites that the BES does not have set as trusted. You have a few options:

1) Install the new cert to the BES keystore

2) Disable this security feature (likely not wanted)
