Devices not talikng to new server

Hi,

I have migrated my Blackberry Express installation to a new sever following the instructions I could find on the Blackberry site and all looks perfect apart from the devices are not communicating with the server.

I have tried going in to manage users and switch all users to a new Blackberry server but this does not seem to have helped either.

I have also checked on my SonicWall firewall for any rules pointing to the old server but there are none.

I can also see the database details and the users there but they are not updating .

Can anybody help with this problem?

Thanks,

Re: Devices not talikng to new server

As an update I have attched one of the devices locally to the Blackberry server and looked at the information on the device it is looking at the old server still.

I have tried resending the service books but this has failed witht he following message:

The BlackBerry Administration Service was unable to
activate the device that is connected to your computer. The BlackBerry
Administration Service was unable to retrieve activation attributes from the
device that is connected to your computer. Check to make sure that a device is
connected. Refer to the log files for more information.

Start with this.

Have you made any perimiter or software firewall changes?

Can you flush your DNS server cache?
Are all your BES services running?
DBNS can be ignored.

What are they being logged on as?

Try stopping these services in this order:

Blackberry Controller
Blackberry Dispatcher
Blackberry Router

Starting the services in this Order:

Re: Devices not talikng to new server

I have followed the tests in the link and the server passed them all.

Checking the event viewer after restarting the services I have got loads of errors:

event id      Type      Source

20137        Warning     Blackberry messaging agent

20000        Warning     Blackberry Mail Store Service

55002        Information Blackberry Mail Store Service

These seem to carry on in a loop
