BES has been installed from schratch last week. Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and CDO 1.2.1 has been installed at the same time.

...and as if by magic, here is the response from RIM

 

“Upgrade from BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0.3 MR4 to 5.0.3 MR5 Windows Event Viewer Application log, BlackBerry Enterprise Server Logs, and Third Party Monitoring services set to "Error Retrieval" produce an abnormal amount of error messages on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server for

“MAPIMailbox::GetRIMMessage(pEntry) - Draft message ignored”

The BlackBerry Enterprise Server is flooded on a daily basis with errors and of course the amount of these errors seen on a daily basis would depend on the amount of users that are active enterprise users on the BlackBerry server.

Further investigation on this from my part and submitting it internally for information has produced what my original thought was and that is that the BlackBerry Server does not sync draft messages.

What’s happening is that there were changes made to the Maintenance Release 5 to support such things as missed chat notifications, voice-mail notifications, etc…

Because of this I have submitted  a Future Enhancement Request to mark these draft events as informational and not as errors."

Good Call.  If they can be ignored and the server is functioning properly then they shouldn't identified as an error.

I'd like to add that this issue is happening in our BES Express 5.0.3 MR2 environment as well (just upgraded this week), not just enterprise BES.
