Pushing out Security Patch

There was a security Advisory that was issued on 9/30 that recommended a security patch.  See KB19552.

I am not clear if this can be pushed out from the BES or if this will require me to touch each device.  I have 180 in production.

Any ideas????

Thanks in advance

Robert

Re: Pushing out Security Patch

Hi,

Sure.

OS updates can be pushed out just like any other wireless program.

problem is that people wil  loose all connectivity for at least 2 hours and could be up to 48 hours as the devcie stops normal operation, downloads the program update, reloads the os and restarts.

it would be better to send out a message to all BB users that they will require an OS update and to contact the helpdeks to organise an OS update.

The helpdesk could remote to the users desktop and run apploader (loader.exe) remotely to ensure the install goes ok.
