I am experiencing the same issue only for PDF files. We are trying to open the documents from an e-mail using the BES distiller. We are running BES 5 and the issue exists on all devices which include Tours and Curves (8530) We are on the Sprint network, and other document attachments open properly.
I am on AT&T. Please edit your Personal Profile with your DEVICE TYPE, DEVICE OS and Carrier

Have you tried restarting the attachment service?
What version of BES 5?
What device OS?
