We have BES 5.0.3 in a HA setup (active/passive) and are having trouble identifing the OIDs we need to monitor our services via SNMP
I have read all of the RIM documents via forums, knowledge base and searched the greater net for information. I have also compiled the MIBs (both current and compat versions)
Here is what I know - RIM changed the OIDs in the current version as they are in the sub 6.7 tree, the compat version uses the old sub 5 tree for OIDs but without the .20 which as added a couple of minor version ago.
Anyway I have a couple of simple questions that I need answered in order to monitor our BES boxes via SNMP.
I want to monitor the following:
BES Connection to Exchange
Seconds that BES has failed connection to Exchange since last reboot
Message Delivery Pending
We have also found some of the OIDs via browsing the MIB but most of these return tables and there is no documented anywhere as to the meaning of the values returned in these tables.
What MIB should we use? Current or Compat?
What are the OIDs should get us the information we need for the above items?
Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated
