Re: SP6 love for BPS?

BPS is in need of love. RIM needs to release some SPs, especially in anticipation of the Bold release...I will have an uprising if people have brand new Bolds without the backend necessary support for them.

Re: SP6 love for BPS?

BPS will support the bold.

It just won't support Rich Text email with only the current service pack (4.1 SP4) released.

Re: SP6 love for BPS?

This is an email that i received from a RIM sales representive which sheds some light on what they are planning to do with BBPRO.

Hi $%%$^^,

BBPro is currently undergoing a full product review for its next release - which will occur in 2009.  As part of this review, we are taking into consideration the current and future needs of customers.  Essentially what this means is that the 2009 roadmap for BPS is looking very positive and many of the features that customers have been anxious to receive (HTML email, Attachment editing etc), will become an integral part of the new BPS.

Thanks,

Re: SP6 love for BPS?

Well, it is now 2010 and all I see on the Blackberry site relating to BPS is 4.1.4b as being the latest version.  Are there any new updates as to if/when this great new version of BBPro is going to be available?

Note the first line from the RIM sales rep.  This is the new version I was querying.

Re: SP6 love for BPS?

I have heard nothing about a new version and there has been no mention on any forums yet of it.

That sales rep might have heard wrong.
