Turn on or turn off the Enterprise-Only Message Application icon in BlackBerry

Does anyone know how to do this in the Professional Software Version 4.1.4 ?

there seems to be no BESOnlyMessage field in the sql database for this version.

This is not possible.

This feature is only supported in BES 4.1 SP5 and above.

DISCLAIMER: I don't recommend you do this.

That said, if you wanted to try it out, execute the following command against your BESMgmt database through a sql client interface:

UPDATE ServerConfig SET BESOnlyMessages = 1 WHERE BESOnlyMessages = 0

to undo the change do:

UPDATE ServerConfig SET BESOnlyMessages = 0 WHERE BESOnlyMessages = 1

Andy,

Why do you not reccomend this.  I have been getting many complaints from my users recently about this.  With my company, they only pay a percentage for our users cell phone, not the whole thing.  Therefore people complain more when their phones will not do certain things.

Is there something we should know that kept you from doing it?

Thanks,

Brad
