Unable to email - Message status : Service blocked

BPS installed ok, sync features all work ok however, I now get an error message when sending emails from my BB. Almost immediately after sending, I get a red X and an error message in the failed sent item under "message status : service blocked"

 

Any ideas?

This is a carrier based issue, your service has been restricted for some reason

Service blocked means you are using the incorrect service. You need to have BES or BES+ enabled on the SIM card; and you probably have BIS.

I had the same problem, My fix was Going to the email settings, click on the bb button, edit, login information, password, and enter email password. I guess somehow my phone lost the setting. Now my e-mails are being sent.

I've tried this method but it says "Your device had problem connecting to the server". I've already tried hard reboot and the process of registering service books etc. I have internet connection on my phone but no use of the blackberry services ie. BBM, emails, App World etc. Please help.

You should contact the carrier, it seems the BB Option is provisioned. You could also test a SIM card of a working device, if it works you definitely know that it is carrier related.
