Hello Friends,

I got below exception when try to do connection using http:

java.io.IOException: Failed to transmit

it works fine in simulator but when I install app in device i got this exception.

so please if any idea help me to solve this problem.

Hi Milan,

Which transport are you trying to use (the snippet of connection code would be helpful to determine)?

Is this device currently activated on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server?

Is this a Java application?

hi i got the same error and its quite frustrating.  i got it when i downloaded whatsapp - the whatsapp application wont work because of this error.  what can i do to resolve this?  thanks a lot!

Your issues sounds different in that Milan got this issue when developing an application and you received it when trying to use a third-party application. I would suggest contacting the app development company for support.

okay i will - however, i have a similar issue with google maps, so i think this is a blackberry issue.  any advice?

First you should ensure you have a data plan that handles the network transport used by the application, next (or if you're unsure of the first) you could contact the application vendor for support.
