Activation problem on Migrated Mailbox, Hosting Mode

I am migrating email users (cross forest) from Exchange Server 2003 to 2010, all is going well until I try to activate a user on BES.  BES is in Hosted mode so requires the Company field to be populated which it is but what ever I try I get the following:

[30053] (11/06 11:41:56.309):{0x178C} Retry start for user: /o=Test/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/cn=Recipients/cn=test

[20154] (11/06 11:41:56.528):{0x178C} User Test not started

New (non migrated  mailboxes/users) activate with no problems but it seems whatever I do I cannot activate on a migrated mailbox.

I have ran through this as we have many mailbox databases to be sure:

Any help greatfully received as its driving me mad!

Re: Activation problem on Migrated Mailbox, Hosting Mode

I think the company field in the GAL entry of the migrated users was not filled during migration.
This is comparable to this:

Hi,

Thanks for your prompt response, I have checked the GAL of the user and the company name exists.

Re: Activation problem on Migrated Mailbox, Hosting Mode

Check your registry setting:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Agents

There should be an entry with LDAPCompanyField for your hosted environment. What is it set to and does it exist and is filled out in you GAL for the affected users?
When you use an LDAP Browser on the BES running as BES Admin, can you see that attribute for the affected/migrated users?

Re: Activation problem on Migrated Mailbox, Hosting Mode

Thanks Oliwer,

Having checked HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Agents

I found out it is using extensionAttribute10, which was blank - Doh! Having check non migrated users this field is populated by our provisioning software when the BES Service is added to an account.  I'm still investigating why it isn't adding this to migrated users but it's currently a workaround!

Thanks again for all you help.
