BES 10.1.2 / BDS / The activation password E-Mail is not getting delivered in users mailbox

Hello, 

 

iam using BES 10.1.2 new installed. 

i can successfully add a blackberry BES 10 Device (Z10) to my BDS Server. 

 

When i add a new user on BES 10 Server and set the activiation passwort i get the Information:

 

 

The following user information has been created and added to the BlackBerry Device Service.

The activation password has been set and sent to the users' email address. The password will expire in 48 hours.

Users will be prompted to specify the information below as well as the activation password to complete the activation process.

 

But the Users are not receiving this emails. 

The SMTP Configuration on BDS is fine and the Test E-Mail Message function is also working properly and i receive this test emails. 

 

any ideas why we do net get this activation emails `?

is there something else to configure ?

how can i debug this ? any logfile ?

does nobody have any idea on this ?

 

does it work on your BES 10.1.2 Installation to send these activiation emails ?

In BES 10.1 you will not see an activation email sent to your mailbox as previous versions of BES did. Hope this helps.

but why does the gui say:

 

The activation password has been set and sent to the users' email address

check your SMTP logs on mail server to see it it was contacted

Very misleading, I agree as I was expecting same. However I did confirm with a BB support rep that you will not see the message delivered to the mailbox with an email client such as Outlook.

just set up a new install of BES 10.1.3 and it would not email even though test went fine.

 

Just had to change one setting to allow activation emails as it is not enabled by default.

 

IN BAS, go to Devices, WireLess activations, Device Activation Settings change Allow activation information to be emailed: to YES
