BES 10.1 Can't insert CAL. The entered license key is invalid

Hi guys,

I've reqested 60 day trial BES 10.1 from RIM web site and installed it successfully. Provided SRP and auth key are fine and accepted during installation, however, I can't insert CAL.

I got from RIM the following info:

Trial - BES10 Software v10.1 (60 Day/20 User)

Quantity: 1

  • Number 1 of 1
  • Serial Number: S2x41x4xx
  • License Key: xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-d8uz-256w-xxxx
  • CAL ID: C001x5xx0x6
  • CAL Authentication Key: bdst60-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx

When I click Edit on Blackberry Administration Service (BlackBerry Solution topology -> BlackBerry Domain -> Component view -> BlackBerry Administration Service) and provide CAL Authentication Key as  Mobile Voice Service licensing key I receive "The entered license key is invalid. Please contact support to receive additional license information. "

I requested 2 more times BES 10.1 trial and trial CALs, but those were not accepted as well.

Does anyone know how I can insert CAL?

Thanks in advance for help!

Re: BES 10.1 Can't insert CAL. The entered license key is invalid

I had the same problem, but i was using the key from the wrong confirmation email.

I tried to the key in the mail from "BlackBerry Enterprise Store user@host.domain"

The right key was the email coming from electronicsoftwaredistribution@rim.com

Hi,

just had the same problem. But readed on another place that the Licence Management was moved. You have to use the BMS Module to insert your Cals. There is a point on the Navigation called Licenses.

Ive insert (activated) there my cals and everything seems ok.

I took CAL from electronicsoftwaredistribution@rim.com email followed by Step 1. Download link provided there.

Basically, keys look like this:

Seems like you might be putting the CAL Authentication Key into the license field?

Try the License Key into the licence field.

Re: BES 10.1 Can't insert CAL. The entered license key is invalid

Hi,

I've tried to activate it from BMS -> Licenses -> Licenses summary -> Activate licenses. Licensing activation method: License activation ID.

Finally! It accepted CAL Authentication Key (bdst60-xxxxx- etc.) from 3rd BES trial order mail ))

Thanks a lot for help!

Re: BES 10.1 Can't insert CAL. The entered license key is invalid

Hi There,

Please forgive me for high jacking this thread!

Has anybody looked at installing the BlackBerry Collaboration Service 10.1, and if so, would you recommend a separate server for this, or is it okay to combine this with BDS. I understand the latter is supported with BDS 10.1.

Regards.
