We currently run BES 5 and are evaluating BES 10. All users connected to BES 5 - when an Exchange 2010 database fails over to another mailbox server within the DAG in another site - continue to work fine.
However, for the few test users connected to BES 10 on Q10 devices, when Exchange databases failover to a mailbox server in another site, these accounts get disconnected and can only get connected again when the database is failed back to a mailbox server in the the original site.
This only happens to accounts connected to BES 10 - any account connected to BES 5 does not have this problem. I've looked over the BES 10 config and can't see anything amiss. There is scant info on the web.
I just wonder whether anyone out there has had simlar problems with BES 10 & Exchange 2010 when DR testing or testing continuous BES services when Exchange databases failover to a mailbox server in another site.

what did you use for your email profile that was assigned to users?

Oliwer, thanks for your reply. The idea here is not to be re-assigning BES email profiles manually when Exchange databases failover. Currently the production site Exchange CAS array is configured not to redirect client traffic to DR in the case where databases failover to that site. I just cannot see a way to implement this for BES. I cannot have one name for both sites without a major redesign of the AD. Where I'm scratching my head is that this is not an issue for BES 5 clients only BES 10.

Thanks for your suggestion Oliwer - it was appreciated - and it would be interesting still to see if that would work. But for expediencies sake, eventually removing the External URL from ActiveSync config on the DR site CAS server had the desired result. Cheers.
