Hi,

I have a BES 5.0.4 running on Windows server 2008 R2 and the application event log is full of "LDAP: ldap_bind_s error = 0x00000052" warnings, although the BES users are not complaining I'm pretty sure they shouldn't be there.

Please can you advise/point me in the right direction to resolve.

PS I have also noticed that we can't access the BES console when logging in as the BesAdmin but can access via local admin (BAS) account.

Which service is throwing that error? Please post the full event log entry.

It was the BlackBerry Messaging Agent Event ID:25117 but I have now managed to sort this myself by doing the following below.

1. Open regedit on the BES.

2. Go to either:

    32-bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Agents

  or

    64-bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WOW6432Node\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Agents 3. Export the Agents key.

4. Set the LDAPSearch value to 0.

5. Restart the BlackBerry Controller service.
