BES 5 Exchange 2003 Windows Server 2008 Core

Has anyone had any luck setting up BES 5 on a 2008 server core machine?  We're migrating a small installation from a 4.1 environment on a server 2000 box, to a more robust environment with a smaller footprint, thus all the exchange tasks have already been done - looking for assistance with the BES setup on the new 2008 core machine...

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

I don't see how you'll get BES installed as the only MSI support on it is unattended mode and doesn't support .NET functionality

Thanks for the quick response.  This is waht I was thinking also but my manager believes it could be done so after trying with no success for a while I decided to look to the experts.  Question though, if BES supports unattended mode, theoretically I could push an installation using a software management system, right?  If so, do you know where I could find documentation for an unattended install for BES 5?

4.1.x did not support an unattended installation method. ... I honestly don't know if 5.0 does ... but I doubt it.

Even if you did get that to do it, you still have no .NET functionality which is a requirement ... as is the JDK/JRE ... so you've have to get that installed too.  Along with the MS XML Parser.

This is a bad idea Smiley Happy
