Hi there,
we are running a BES 5 w SP1 und MR 1 connected to a MS Exchange 2007.
Everything runs fine exept when I try to send software wireless (OTA) from the BES to Bold 9700 devices.
In the vendor.xml I can see the device and the firmware-version (under the name of my carrier t-mobile).
In the device.xml the device is also listed.
Then I assign a software to a user with a Bold 9700 device.
Nothing happens.
When I look to "view resolved applications" I see nothing in the "Resolved applications"-fields. I just find the software under "other configured applications" with a "unknown device" message.
The software runs in exactly that version on the devices when installed over the webbrowser.
The BES pushes it to every device with a fw version 4.x we have.
Before installing MR1 we had the same problem with Bold 9000-Models running FW 5.x.
Do you have any idea what the cause could be?
Thanx!
Greetings
Michael

Check device.XML although it should self update.
KB13589 - How to update the device.xml and vendor.xml files
also make sure your APP is compatable with OS 5.0 and the 9700.

hi
we upadated manually the device.xml and vendor.xml and we continue with the same problem than lompoc, we can deploy the aplication to 8520 and 9700. In the bes 4.1.6 we can deploy the same application without any problem. And for other models like 8100 and 8800 we can deploy the application.
Any idea we can do???
thanks for your responses
