BES 5 and OCS 2007 R2

We just migrated to Exchange 2007 and we installed OCS 2007 R2 in our environment. The original OCS was never installed - we went directly to OCS 2007 R2. Now it looks like we can't use OCS on our blackberries because we can't extend the schema. As per http://support.microsoft.com/kb/969336

If you have OCS 2007 R2 already installed and want to install a CWA 2007 server, follow these steps:

  1. On the Windows Server 2003-based computer that will host CWA, install the installation files for OCS 2007.
  2. From a command prompt, browse to the OCS 2007 Installation folder.
  3. From the command prompt, use the following command
    %installation folder%\i386\setup\LcsCmd /Forest /action:ForestPrep

This fails because the schema is already extended for OCS 2007 R2.

Does that mean that there is no way we can setup OCS 2007 R2 on blackberries in our environment?

Thanks.

Re: BES 5 and OCS 2007 R2

I've heard you can do a forest prep and domain prep using the R1 schema and then add a R1 COWA to the R2 pool. Have not tried it myself.
