Hi,
Is there a procedure to upgade from BES 5.0.1 MR 2 (Bundle 117) to the current BES version 5.04? I'm planning to do an exchange upgrade and bes server upgrade this weekend and I want to make sure I have everything prepared.
Thank you
Regards,
Ken

So, is it okay for me to upgrade from 5.0.1 to Service Pack 4 right away?

From RIM doc:
Administrators can upgrade to BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 SP4 from the following software versions:
BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 SP2
BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 SP3
There is no direct upgrade path from BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4.x.
That means for me: No direct upgrade from BES 5.0 RTM and no direct upgrade from BES 5.0 SP1.
So this means 2 upgrades for you.
Regarding the Exchange upgrade: I would not do 2 things at the same time. If something is broken afterwards you will have no clue which upgrade broke what. So my suggestioni would be:
First do the BES upgrade(s), wait a week, then do the Exchange upgrade.

It is better to do BES upgrade first as it might not like your version of exchange being on first release.
good info on SP4 upgrade, I was not aware you cant apply it to Sp1 or lower.
