No, you dont need to install an MR in that situation. Otherwise it would be enough to install the latest MR for the appropriate SP (they are cumulative (the last one contains all changes)

once you are on the SP you want apply the latest MR after.

 

MR have been culmative and you dont need to install the older ones.

Okay, basically all I need to do is ... from 5.0.1 MR2 to 5 SP3... apply the laster MR for SP3 (Which I believe is the MR4)...... then upgrade to SP4?

Latest MR for SP3 ist MR 8 (for full BES, not for Express). But the way you describes is the right way

5.0.1 MR2 to 5 SP3 and then upgrade to SP4. no need to install MR on SP3 if going to SP4.

Hi There,

 

Does the MR packs includes all the "Software Update for KB22953 Exchange" and all the "Interim Security Software Update" ? 

 

For example, After installing service pack 3, do I install the software updates and interim security or I can just install straight to MR8 (For SP3) ?

 

Please advise.

Okay. So I did the upgrade yesterday and it went fine.

 

from 5.0.1 MR2 (Bundle 117) 

 

I had to update the Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and Collaboration Data Objects to 1.2.1

 

Then, I downloaded service pack 3. Installed that. 

Then, downloadedl service pack 4 and mr1. Installed that.
