Re: BES setup (1st time doing this- looking for insight)

I'm with GoDaddy. I think the only way I can enable ActiveSync on the mail server is to move to their (more expensive) Hosted Exchange service. Does that sound right?

Re: BES setup (1st time doing this- looking for insight)

I actually tried Hosted Exchange with GoDaddy last month- and found emails would still take a couple of minutes to come in (a couple of minutes slower than my Hotmail emails were coming in).

Decided to cancel it, not worth paying an extra $90/ year (or whatever it works out) for email that isn't as fast to sync as my Hotmail.

I'd love if someone could explain what Hotmail are doing right that Hosted Exchange doesn't offer. I would pay for something that delivered my emails as quickly as Hotmail is. So far it seems I need IMAP idle support on the server- I think? Few seem to offer that.

Re: BES setup (1st time doing this- looking for insight)

My Outlook.com is fine as well, it's my GoDaddy account with the slow email. I'm thinking of changing to a different provider, but I'm getting the impression that many of them would have the same issue (as many don't have IMAP idle support)
