I have some BAS login related queries.

1. When trying to login using the (Blackberry Administration Service) - I have been prompted for changing my password. Please advise if I can change the password & in doing so will it effect any functionalities of my users.

2. How do I add Windows Active Directory users to login to the BAS using their AD credentials.

is the login a BAS or AD login? if its just BAS, then changing it wont affect anything.

you need to add users to a role to access BAS, it might be better for regular users to use web desktop manager unless you want to add in admins to it.

Add an administrator role to a user account

1. In the BlackBerry Administration Service, on the BlackBerry solution management menu, expand User.
2. Click Manage users.
3. Search for a user account.
4. In the search results, click the display name for the user account.
5. Click Edit user.
6. On the Roles tab, in the Available roles list, click the role that you want to assign to the user account.
7. Click Add.
8. Click Save all.
