Hi,

I installed 5.0 on a new machine with a fresh database.

I couldn't login as many other users - but I could help myself with this kb:

But now that I can login to BAS I can't login to the MDS Application Console (https://bbserver/mdsisconsole/app).

In the setup I specified the same passwort for the local besadmin account as I have for my domain besadmin account.

I tried every combination but I can't get it running, even by creating a new admin user via BAS.

Can anyone help me please.

Do you have a DNS entry for the MDS_IS Pool?

Hi kerseyr,

you mean if I manually created one on my DNS Servers? If so -no I didn't. I had no problems with the setup itself.

Can you tell me what information needs to be added to the dns server exactly?

If you mean if I can see the mds pool name - yes it's listed in the login screen.

I can see the login screen via ip/fqdn but I get an error with every user and password it should be.

I had a simialr issue the other week.

I hadn't created a DNS entry for the MDS_IS pool name.

I logged into the BAS on the left hand side looked atServers and components.

Expand BlackBerry Domain ExpanServer View, Expand Server name. Looked at MDSS and the name in brackets was the DNS entry I used.

Created a record and I was logged in fine.

have a look through the logs, that is where I got the hint.
