My organization is in the process of moving from LCS to OCS 2007 R2 (or Lync). The BES I maintain (5.0.3 MR7) is a basic 2 server setup (both 2008 x64 SP2) configured with everything but the database and monitoring setup in a HA cluster. The collaboration service, which connects to LCS, included. For testing, I created a 3rd server and installed an OCS 2007 R2 Collaboration Service as a remote component using the same DB as the main BES, which seems to run fine. I can see it in the BAS under Collaboration, and the service reports that it's running. The logs show no problems with this config. I have noticed that under "Supported Dispatcher Instances" for the OCS 2007 R2 service both my HA servers are visible, but both are set to Standby.
The problem I have is that when I attempt to login to an OCS account (using the 2.6.15 2007 & Lync client) I can see in the BBIM logs on the HA cluster that it's trying to use the LCS collaboration service rather than my new 2007 R2 OCS service.
Any suggestions or things that I have missed?

good question.
I'm in the process of configuring/installing the the collab service for Lync as well.
Reg the account needed to run the collab service- can the besadmin account be used for this or a separate account is needed?
Also- I too have an HA environment-- since you seem to have gotten further, what's the sequence of installing & configuring when having 2 nodes?
BTW-- current setup included - win 2008 SP2 32bit. BES v 5.0.3 MR6
Thanks in advance.
