Re: Downgrade options from BES 5.0.3 MR4?

So, after hours on the phone with RIM TS, and headache after headache...I am restoring to 5.0.  I have a backup from over a month ago that will be restored, and we will send out emails prior for everyone to grab new encryption keys post roll-back.

We've tried so many things like setting variables with traittools and it never even came close.  Something, and RIM still doesn't know what, broke between 5.0 and SP1.

Basically, the email is no longer sending in multipart, and therefore our DVEGate POS systems cannot read the email, only the subject.  So if anyone out there is in the same boat and thinking of upgrading BES past 5.0 (no SPs), DO NOT.  RIM TS has our DB where it works, and a DB where it broke in test with SP1 as well as the entire log folder from our test environment with no SPs and SP1 installed.  So on Monday, I will restore our database to 5.0.0, activate our VM clone with BES 5.0.0 and hope for the best!

Thanks everyone!

Re: Downgrade options from BES 5.0.3 MR4?

So it took me a whopping 5 hours to get our server back in order, but it is done, and working.  I had to install, since the backup I had was in the middle somewhere, the original server, then the secondary HA server, which took a lot of SQL cleaning to get it in the HA cluster.  In the end, it only worked once I failed over to the server we were using, so the database must have bound the SRP or something to the server name, even though I was using the original instance name.  Odd, but it works!
