Health Check Errors on BES

We are receiving hundreds of errors each day.  The error is:

<N/A> | BlackBerry Messaging Agent ERPSBES Agent 1 (Application Event Log on ERPSBES) | 06/29/2009 10:09:35 (6FFFC364) -> Some worker threads have been blocked for 74 health checks

(the actual number of health checks changes - going up and down throughout the day).  We are seeing 90 percent+ CPU usage on the BES server as a result of this problem.

Has anyone else experienced this?  Any clues as to how we can resolve it?

Those errors suggest that the BES doesn't get timely responses from the Exchange server. The BES gets notiied of new email via UDP packets but something is delaying these notifications. The Exchange server may be busy from an increased workload? It could be many other things as well.
