Hi all,

We have just upgraded from BES 4.1.6 to 5.0.3 MR2 and have noticed that all our blackberry handhelds now have the encoding option when composing a new email. We do not use the encoding and have no desire to anytime soon, so i was hoping we can remove this through some BES policy. The options we get are Plain Text or Lotus Notes Encryption if that helps.

just upgraded from 4.1.7 to 5.0.3 and had the same issue. googled it and first info i found was your post and i saw there were no answers. probably by now you resolved the problem but i'll post the solution for future upgrade googlers who stumble upon your post

Thanks for the reply Scotty, I stopped looking about a month after I posted this so I appreciate you replying with the solution, although I have not tried it yet that KB looks exactly like my problem so will give it a crack.
