No message synch with Lotus Traveler and UDS (BES 10.1.1)?

Hi,

Somebody out there who has the same issue?

I created an email profile in UDS for my traveler server and assigned it to a user. The user (iOS and Android) receives this profile in his secure work space, opens it, enters user name and password and is authenticated successfully. But when synchronization of the mails starts, nothing happens. No mail, no calendar. Hmm.

BES 10.1.1, Lotus Traveler 9 (in DMZ).

Any feedback would be helpful.

Thanx in advance

cheers

Hello eeilers,

Thank you for your question regarding BES 10.1.1 an Lotus Traveler 9.

Currently with Secure Work Space for UDS in BES 10.1.1 we only support Microsoft Exchange. Please see the compatibility matrix below.

Hi LoneWolf902,

Ah, sorry, have to be more precise: It works with my Android device and not with my iOS device. Any idea?

Best regards

cheers

Hi eKKI,

I've got the same configuration, but the opposite problem.

iOS devices works and the email works correctly,

Android devices don't work

I've created the activesync profile on the UDS, and it is pushed on the Android device but the device don't apply it.

I'm using the secure workspace.

How is your configuration?

Best Regards

Ciao Matteo,

We have an UDS server placed in the internal network, connecting to a Lotus Traveler server in the DMZ (with the external name of the Traveler Server) on Port 443. The UDS Server is connecting via SOCKS Proxy to *.bbsecure.com.

I also created an ActiveSync Profile which is pushed to the devices. It seems to work because I can see that the authentication with Traveler is working. But when synchronizing the Mailboxes, the Iphone does nothing (except a turning beach ball) and the nexus works.

The BES5 and BES10.1 Server work fine.

hope this helps.

cheers

The most valueable input from the Blackberry Support to my support request was: "Lotus Domino is not supported". Period.

I would not suggest to use UDS at this thime.

Re: No message synch with Lotus Traveler and UDS (BES 10.1.1)?

I Have been tinkering with this with Limited Success for the last 3 weeks today after much checking and testing settings I now have this working on BES10, Android and IOS Devices accross the board.

The IOS was the most tricky and I can't be 100% sure whether the new IOS BB App update caused this to work as it should or a final change to the settings witin the app or this was just taking an age to pull everything through.

Port settings were all enabled correctly and all was available as required for the BES and Traveler server to communicate out at this point, the BES was working Independantly and Traveler was working Independantly the main issue that I had was getting them working together.

Below are the Active Sync details that Traveler needs

Ensure that the Mail Profile is populated with the

Server address in Host Name or IP Address with SSL Enabled - This is all that needs to be set in the Profile

Actvation address - (Country, eg gb).bbsecure.com/SRP Address

User Certifier Path for Android ONLY eg. Name\Section\Division\Op Co
Mailfile name for IOS

E-Mail

Internet Password as specified in Company NAB

These settings should mean that messaging is being sent to the device, It has taken much checking the Web Logs in Traveler to confirm that these settings are correct.
