Question about "Cluster Singleton"

Good day all,

We have 2 identical setups (for 2 major company divisions that required separated BES...) :

2 BDS(10.0) connected to a single DB server.

(We have this whole setup repeated for the 2nd company division)

In both case, servers have a primary and standby role. (we configure all our users on the 1st server and, if need be (incident), we switch them to the 2nd server (manually).

Now, reviewing the configs of both setups (which are, apparently, fully functionnal), I noticced a difference :

In "Server and components" > "Blackberry Solution topology" > "Blackberry Domain" > "Component view" > "Blackberry Administration Service" : the "Cluster Singleton" has different values on both setups.

Setup 1 :

Cluster singleton ------> Status

"Server#2" -------> "Enterprise Service singleton"

(that's it, no mention of Server#1)

Setup 2 :

Cluster singleton ------> Status

"Server#1" -------> "Enterprise Service singleton"

"Server#2" -------> "Partition singleton"

As stated, we have not noticed any unusual behavior so I can't even say, for now, if this is an issue or not.  But I've found little to no documentation at all as of what it means... !

Annyone can enlighten me on what I should see and why I see what I see ?!

Thanks !

Re: Question about "Cluster Singleton"

Singletons are related to the Blackberry Administration service. I guess you have setup BAS on both servers as a pool? It looks like BAS on Server2 cannot determine if BAS is running on Server1.

So the impact is that you can only access the BDS admin console via Server1.
