It is occurring for every user. I have reinstalled Exchange MAPI and CDO and made sure that there is only one CDO.dll file registered on the server.

Users aren't experiencing any issues as far as I know.

Anyone know how to resolve this?

Thanks,

Can you look at the MAGT and SYNC logs for errors please.

Re: The description for Event ID 1639 from source MSExchangeCDO cannot be found

Hi,

I just had a look at both SYNC and MAGT log files.

Ive looked in the event log for timestamps when this error occurs and then matched them up in the above logs and there are no errors at all. Ive checked through most of the logs and cant find any errors at all really. It all looks normal.

The only thing I do find which I dont think is an issue is the below:

[ Edited ]

Hi we dont have quotas on mailboxes.. so there not full.

CDO on BES is version 6.5.8165.0

CDO on Exchange is version 6.5.8131.0

I have just reinstalled CDO as suggested.. I'll update this thread if it happens again, so far it has stopped.

Re: The description for Event ID 1639 from source MSExchangeCDO cannot be found

Hi Loris,

I have the same error after CDO on BES has been updated from 6.5.7651.61 to 6.5.8165.0

Did you just uninstal CDO on BES is version 6.5.8165.0 using KB15779 and than install CDO 6.5.8165.0 again ?

Thank you

Mario

Re: The description for Event ID 1639 from source MSExchangeCDO cannot be found

I believe this article explains that these errors are normal, and don't indicate a problem if you're running BES 5 SP1 and above, or 4.1 SP7 and above:

Re: The description for Event ID 1639 from source MSExchangeCDO cannot be found

I had the same question this user asked TODAY, and your answers were half assed, cut & paste boilerplate, probably just excuses to get your signature ads displayed, and were of no help.  I found a better answer myself and posted it for the next person who comes along.
