Re: UDS tunneling of ActiveSync for Android / iOS

it's quite confusing, because some websites wrote that the playbook can connect via BES tunnel to activesync...
so why ios and android wont?
would be a great feature (not to open activesync to the internet) if this would work, but can't find a clearly statement whether it's implemented or not.... hmmm

Re: UDS tunneling of ActiveSync for Android / iOS

Its not implemented yet, currently BlackBerry uses the native Mail Apps of iOS and Android which connects directly to the EAS server (or you use VPN to connect the device to your infrastructure first).
They are going to release an own client (Container/Sandbox) which can utilize the BlackBerry Infrastructure to create a tunneled EAS connection.

Re: UDS tunneling of ActiveSync for Android / iOS

I'm very keen to have an MDS like solution for iOS and Android devices, but would it allow their native browsers to access internal network servers or would only apps running in the sandbox have access? If it's the latter I hope we get a Work Browser in the sandbox like we do through BDS for BlackBerry devices.
