Update from bes 5.0.2.29 to enterprise 10

Hi,

Can we have BES 5.0.2.29 on the original server and have also a enterprise 10 on that same server or on the same network for the same exchange 2010 server.

Thanks.

Re: Update from bes 5.0.2.29 to enterprise 10

There is no "upgrade" from BES 5.x to BES 10. BES10 is a collection of new services that allow management of BlackBerry 10, Playbook, and iOS/Android devices in addition to your existing management of BlackBerry 7 or earlier devices. BES5 is not actually part of the BES10 download.

The current version of BES5 is 5.0.4 MR2, so in your environment that is what you could update to, however that has nothing to do with BES10 as BES5 is not part of BES10, and you still need BES5 to manage BlackBerry 7 or earlier devices.

If you want to be able to manage BlackBerry 10 and Playbook devices in your environment, you will need to setup a seperate BES10 server running the BDS component. If you want to manage iOS and Android devices, you will need to install the UDS component.

You cannot install the BDS/UDS components on an existing BES5 server, you will need to setup a new server that manages the new devices.
