Z10 recievieng email while BES10 Server is down?

While i was updating my BES Server yesterday the BES was shut down to make an image backup before the update.

During this time my Z10 recieved new emails on my work account. Now im wondering how this works?

Maybe because the Z10 was connected to my work WIFI during this time? Is the Z10 then directly connected to my Exchange Server without using the BES Server and the BB infrastructure (NOC)?

How can i check which way the data flows between Exchange and Z10?

Please use plain text.

Re: Z10 recievieng email while BES10 Server is down?

depending on the version BES yes it will access exchange directly with out going through the NOC

You can get the latest version and have it go through the NOC

Re: Z10 recievieng email while BES10 Server is down?

I did the update from 10.1.0 to 10.1.2 yesterday.

What setting has to be touched to controll it?
