I just installed BMS on current blackberry domain, but i found "BlackBerry Monitoring Console" service cannot start, others is fine. i checked the logs BMS_stderr.log, shows below,
Error encountered while starting server: https://bas.xxx.com
at java.net.Inet4AddressImpl.lookupAllHostAddr(Native Method)
i think the reason is "https://bas.xxx.com" is of course unpingable which bas.xxx.com is ok.
my question is, why BMS using https://bas.xxx.com to connect to BAS pool? where can i modify it to start the service?
another clue is, i found the url in "ConsoleAddresses.txt" has two https listed.

does your DNSserver have a record for that address?

I might found the solution.
on the server with BMS installed, open regedit, nagative to,
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Administration Service
there is a value named BASDNSRoundRobinHostName, change it. then works.
but the problem is, i really don't know change this registry might cause any problem in future.
