how to connect Bes10 with MS Exchange 2010

hello, i have a BES5 (and exchange 2010) environment with hundreds of BBs working . Now i want to test the BES10 and the new devices. I have already a separate machine with a 60days trial of bes10. the only thing i installed yet is the bds part. i already created a user, and also activated a Z10. see the device attached in admin web site to him.  But no emails, contacts and calendar elements on device. an email profile is also created. for the server name i used the name of the CAS Array, with SSL, no push. 5 minutes sync.  what is wrong? Has somebody solved this in his environmet already? Thanks in advance

Why no Push? Push is better in my oppionion.

Did you set up the external or internal URL of CAS? ActiveSync is enabled?

If you use ActiveSync you do not to configure any MAPI or CDO.

How is your device connected? WI-FI or 3G?

Re: how to connect Bes10 with MS Exchange 2010

I am actually preplying to your first message.

Is ActiveSync enabled on Exchange 2010 and do you have a public SSL cert?

And you have setup a ActiveSync email profile in your BDS server right and added it to the users profile under Managed users correct?

Once that's done the account and the emails will populated on the device. If not check your BB servers on the server to make sure they are all running. If the EMWS service isn't running you won't get any emails.

Re: how to connect Bes10 with MS Exchange 2010

active sync is enabled, smtp profile is created and attached to user

emws service and all ther bb services are running

the bes 10 server is in the same server network like the cas array, and there is no port restriction.

Re: how to connect Bes10 with MS Exchange 2010

i can wipe the already activated Z10 device from BES10-Server.

but still no mails on device after new activation.

in email-profile, what should be typed in in "server name"? the internal FQDN of cas array? or bette from one host? or the external adress?

Re: how to connect Bes10 with MS Exchange 2010

In the activesync profile there is a server feild you need to enter whatever your SSL cert name is. That could be remote.company.com, webmail.company.com, mail.company.com, owa.company.com, etc.. What do you have to enter to access OWA from outside the company? Put that name in the mail server field. Test it, may sure its a public SSL cert and one a self assigned one.
