I'm trying to solve an issue at work but I'm not a BB user myself so apologies if the answer is obvious...
We have a sales team that store their email contacts in a shared mailbox. However each of their BB's is associated with their own personal email address. They have told me that they used to be able to access the contacts in the shared mailbox but it stopped working several months ago. They have also recently upgraded to the Blackberry World 8830's, which doesn't appear to be the cause of the issue but may change the solution. I'm therefore trying to identify a few things:
- Is it possible to access contacts in a shared mailbox using a BlackBerry World 8830, if that shared mailbox is NOT the primary mailbox setup on the device?
- If the answer to that is yes, could anyone suggest possible settings that may prevent this from working properly, either on the BB or on the Exchange side of things?
- If the answer to question 1 is no, is there any other similar setup that would allow the Sales team to share their contacts amongst themselves without having to add them to the companies Global Address list?
Thanks for any help!

With BES 4.1 you can not access contacts with a shared mailbox.
IIRC you can do it with desktop manager though.

I don't suppose you know if this feature was supported in a previous version of BES, or if its something that has never been supported? If it's never been supported I need to try and figure out what my sales people were doing before when they believed this was 'working'!

None that I am aware of.
