Service Pack 6 (SP6) and Maintenance Release 6 (MR6) has been released and fixes many issues.

Exchange and Domino are at SP6 MR7

 

Goupwise is at SP6 MR5

Guestion on patching. On MR6/7 could I install themn on my backup first. We kep the services off until we bring down the primary.

That is the thing they don't. Well, if the primary services are running they are not ont he backup. In the past when services were runing on both we would recieve dupicate emails on our device.

 

I am mainly concerned about any issues. It would be nice to install on the backup first. I just inherited out blackberry and never installed a  MR before and wanted to be on the safe side.

 

I unzip MR7 and noticed a SQL script MR5. Does MR7 update the database? My blackberry server use two seperate SQL servers.

OK you have a "services off" backup server that connects to the same database or different databases?

 

Either way make sure the services are set to manual and run the MR setup and make sure services are still set to manual when done. Make sure both are updated to same level soon.
