Hi,
How can I deploy google's app files/application on BB device OTA ?
I tried through S/W configurations, but didn't help !

Thanks Andy, this indeed worked fine for me !
Now that I've assigned this new S/W config to a user, how the user will receive a notification to install this S/W on his device OTA ? how can we check the status of it's installation in BB manager ?
I've made it "Required" for this S/W in it's disposition option in policy.
Besides, is there a way to block outlook email & calendar on BB device & force users access their mails thru gmail only ?
how can we disable redirection for "Mail & Calendar" only ?

>> What version of BES do you have? You could simply open the user object in the BB Manager and go to BlackBerry device (read-only) and see what they have. Or you could use the BlackBerry Resource Kit tool HHAppReport.exe to get a list of apps as reported in the BESMgmt database

Yes, you can disable redirection on a per user basis or via IT Policy

Thanks Andy ... now that we've successfully installed "Messages" client on BB device OTA, is there a way to delete or hide the usual "Messages" icon from BB desktop & replace it with the "messages" client on the desktop?
We actually want to force the users to use gmail client, instead of normal messages client that connects them to their exchange/outlook client OTA.
We are on BES 4.1.5.

I don't know of a way to hide the icon ... never thought of ever having to do that. I guess you could disable message redirection and remove the send as permission from the bes admin account. This would prevent new mail from being sent to the the user and any time they attempted to send mail it would be rejected as bes admin wouldn't have access to send mail as the user.
