User is a Senior Vice President and has about 1600 entries in the blackberry
he has Blackberry version 184.108.40.2063
platform version: 220.127.116.11
Email platform is Lotus Notes on Domino servers
BES version: 18.104.22.168 (I know, quite old).
1363 users ( as of this morning).
problem is that whenever the assistant accept an appointment, from time to time, there will be duplicate and sometimes triplicate entries in the blackberry Calendar. He tried to delete them but to no avail. If I ask the client to do a soft reset, so either remove the battery while opened or alt+caps+del, when it comes back, it`s fine the entries have disappear, but the problem returns within the week or so. I have search the BB Technical solution center and did not find anything.
anyone has an idea what could cause the problem?

Maybe need to reset it on the device.
I would also look into SP7 for BES or possible upgrade it for around $1000.00 USD.

Thanks, but I already read that solution and it's too complicated, we can resolve (temporary) by doing a soft reset , either re/re the battery while the BB is powered up, or alt+caps+del, and after it restarts, all the duplicate and triplicate are gone.
The client doesn't want to upgrade the hardware or the software because he expect to have all his users (about 12000 email users and 1363 BB users) to be migrated to an Exchange environment, so from Lotus Notes Domino to Exchange with Outlook, but the new environment and servers are not build up yet, so I'm trying to see if there is a solution, beside soft reset, to satisfy our VPs and Senior VPs until we migrate.

the problem was caused by an old server that was over taxed, the way it was explained to us was a bit like this:
a process is started to update a blackberry agenda entry, because the cpu and memory were over taxed, the server was not able to complete the "transaction" and on the blackberry it would cause an entry to double, triple and even quadruple from time to time.
by remove and replacing the battery, the blackberry was updating itself properly.
we upgraded both hardware and software on the server , OS updates and patches, blackberry software was updated fro m4.0.1 to 22.214.171.124 (what the client was entitle to upgrade without having to pay extra) and it solved most of the problems.
we had to edit the registries
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise
Value to Change: MaxTotalThreads
Current Value: 40
Change to: 140 (Make sure change is in Decimal and not Hexadecimal)
Create a DWORD with the name "WaitForNSDToComplete"
Set the value to 0
Change for PIMSynch issue
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise
PrepopulatePIMForiNotesUsers Type: DWORD
Set the value to 0
all that resolved the problem for the duplicate and also problem of delay of delivery of e-mails in the blackberry.
