Hi
Sometimes, very rarely, I notice on my BES 4.1.7 server that either the Policy server or the Sync service have gone into Stopping state.
To rectify, I normally need to reboot the box.
Can anyone tell me the effect there is on users of these two services stopping? I'm not sure if it's worth rebooting the box sometimes, because if we do so during the business day we get slow delivery for a while during the rescan.

when they do stop can you look at the sync and policy logs?
default location :\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerryEnterprise Server\Logs
Also look in event veiwer to seef if any errors or warnings pertain to your issue
