Management is cracking down and want us to setup policies that would block our BES users from using other messaging services like yahoo, hotmail, gmail etc.... Can these be blocked via IT policy or proxy settings or both? Were running xchange BES 4.1.6 MR3

I'm on 4.1.5, but can show you where the policy setting is. We also block other messaging services and only allow corp email.
Service Exclusivity Policy Group
>Allow Other Message Services - False
---------------------------------------------
Specify whether users can use other message services on the BlackBerry device.
Set this rule to False to force all outbound messages through your organizations BlackBerry Enterprise
Server and prevent users from sending outbound messages from other message services.
Warning: This rule does not prevent users from receiving inbound messages from other message services.
If you do not set this rule, a default value of True will be used.
----------------------------------------------
Hope this information is helpful.
Thanks,
Chris
