Hi All,
Looking for some Clear help here. My setup is:
Exchange 2003 SP2 with BES 4.1.7 everything is working fine.
I am setting up exchange 2010 and would like to move my current BES 4.1.7 to BESX 5.0.3 without having to reprovision the devices. Is this possible? if so what steps would i need to take and in what order? If not, what other options do i have? i assume i need to get my BES solution squared away before moving to Exchange 2010.
Thanks in advance.

Moving to BES Express if possible. They are too tight to pay for the upgrade!

I have read many articles and all are unclear as to whether it actually works or not. I have managed to get the transporter tool setup and am ready to move one user as a test. Question though, his mailbox is still on the exchange 2003 box, does this matter?

no it should not matter and it does work when everything is setup correctly.
I would use a test account first and not your bosses or your own.

I actually don't have a Blackberry..Lol and this Guy doesn't seem to mind me using him as a guinea Pig. Let's see if he still feels the same way if it doesn't work.

I wish you luck, make a device backup prior if you want to play safe.
Worst case you can move user back and shouldbe fine.

Permissions can be fun to figure out
run this test on the affected user
Double check permission according to this
