Hi , can anyone please assist, i need to remove an enterprise email account from my bold 9780.

there are some basic steps which you have to follow before removing the enteprise account.
1st: make sure the bb id is not attached to the BES server.
2nd when its removed from server. do wipe the device.
do let me know if this process resove your problem.
on let me know in case you want to troubleshoot.

BBID is not tied to BES, not sure why you think it matters.
if not using Balance then your device has to be wiped. You can back it up though before wiping and restore most items.
