I'm trying to upgrade my BES from 4.1.4.12 to SP6, however, everytime I try to run Setup.exe, the process will not start.

I get the following event log entry:

It does the same thing with SP5

Did reinstall of BES 4.14 which didn't help either.

Anyone know a fix for this?

the 4.1.4 that you have, is it BlackBerry Professional Software? if yes, you cannot upgrade BPS as services packs are for full version of BES only.

seems like you have small business server and there is nto service pack available for it.

With your suggestion in mind, I was able to get a full install version of 4.1 SP6 for Exchange following my previous d/l link after purchasing BES 4.1 SP4; thinking this may result in success as it is not an upgrade I am running.

However no such luck, with the same error message as a result

I can run the setup for 4.1 SP4 full install fine, but nothing for 4.1 SP6.

What is the name of the 4.1.4 file you downloaded?

File name was "besx_4.1.4.exe"
