Software Configuration Whitelist

Hi just need help finding the KB article on the blackberry site which has the configuration which should be used when creating a whitelist..
For the life of me i cannot find this article again...
It has 3 screenshots showing how to create configs for Deny, Optional and Whitelists..

If anyone can link me to this article it would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Loris.

Re: Software Configuration Whitelist

I briefly looked through the KB articles and couldn't find the one you were referencing.

If you're going to do whitelisting / blacklisting configure an app control policy to deny all apps by default and then list the ones you want to make available either with a disposition set to optional or required.

That was the one I couldn't find!  Nice catch.  Next time I'll search for allowed instead of white; oy I wish we could keep our terminology consistent.

Re: Software Configuration Whitelist

The link seems dead now.  How strange...I can't even search for a cached version :smileysad:

Any thoughts?  Thanks!

Re: Software Configuration Whitelist

You want to create 2 policies, Optional and Disallowed.

Then on your software configuration, you set the top level under "Application Software" to Disallowed, then set Option or a custom policy for the applications below that want to permit with your white list.

Re: Software Configuration Whitelist

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but just found this one......

http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB05392&sliceId=1&docTy...

This looks to describe what I (and the OP) wanted to do.
