I'm using BB bold 9700 and syncing Contacts from Outlook2010(Exchange is 2008) via BES. Sometimes, I notice that some of the names in the call log disappear. Though the names were seen there the day before. And somehow they comes back again. This happens very randomly. I don't know this is the issue of device or BES or the contacts on Exchange. Also I see two “Desktop” when I open the contacts option and only one of them is enabled Wireless Sync. Is this related to this issue? Please give me some advice or information! Thanks.

Given what you describe, I recommend you seek support from your BES admins...they control, well, everything. They can seek help from other BES admins in our BES section on this site, if such is needed.

Thank you for the suggestion but let me change my question. If I empty the contacts on BB, would the names on the call log disappear or stay(using rset command)? And if I sync the contacts from Outlook again, would BB bring the names from contacts and show them in the call log again?

Well, the method you propose (RSET) is intended to clear the BB and immediately reload the data via BES. So you may not actually get a chance to see if any effect to the Call Log happens. But, again, your BES admins control everything about your BB, and you therefore really should be seeking assistance from them so that you do not accidentally do something that impacts your services via BES.

they should come back after a rset, does the user have a delagate on the mail box or use a card scanning program?

Yes, he has a delegate on MB. So BB simply looks up and displays the names in the call log if they are in the contacts of the device? No caching?

do you need full delagate access or just access to contacts?

I find delegate access to do weird things on mobile devices but Outlook works fine.
