I turn off emails to my handheld often via: Options/Email Settings/Send Email to Handheld (set to NO).
My calendar appears not to be in sync when I do this.
Is there a way to have everything remain in sync with Calendar but simply turn off the stream of emails to the device (in my case 8900)?
The rationale is that I don't want to be pestered with emails, yet I want to know when significant calendar items are added/deleted etc./
thanks

use the @ symbol to block all emails![]()
Everything else will still sync.
also can try to disable the Syncronization of messages from the BES side as well. Under user, you can go into the properties under the PIM Sync. Scroll down to Messages and turn off Syncronization for messages.
