Nothing more simple.

With Ubuntu, open the "Software Management", write "Blackberry" into the search field.

Bingo! Two or more apps available for free. Enjoy!

Thanks for your interest but there is only "BarryBackup" which has been under developement since 2005. It is for devices older than the Z10.  That is, BB10 is not (yet?) supported.

I gave it  quick try. There were bindings to various libraries which were not included in the Linux system.

Re: BlackBerry Link for Linux

Anything new on that? I don't think it would be hard to have port from Mac. Or even to have Qt based software that would be crossplatform. It's pitty that companies that use linux and opensource technologies (Qt e.g.) everyday for their products, do not support Linux. I thought the time of monopoly are over Smiley Happy Anyway hope to see updates on that, as well as i see Valve today is trying to promote Linux and that might change few things here and there Smiley Happy

Re: BlackBerry Link for Linux

Hi,

I used Linux since 1999. 3 years ago,  my Iphone, was stolen from my pocket and I decided to buy Blackberry Curve to replace it.

I found it to be a very good choise for work. It's totaly compatible with Linux without applicacions addeded and works like USB Pendrive.

For this reason I decided 3 days ago to buy a BlackBerry Q10. I plugged USB cable and to my surprise it doesn't work with Linux >Smiley Surprised

Why??? Why we need to buy operating system to use Smartphone?

I see it as a commercial fallback!

Best regards,

Jeremy

Re: BlackBerry Link for Linux

It would be nice to see BlackBerry link for Linux right now we have to use a virtual machine and it's quite a pain...
