Blackberry Link installs but wont run - CLR Error: 80004005 - The program will now terminate

I installed BB Link and after the install it tried to open the progam and I get this error.

 

I tried uninstalling it and the BB Desktop software, rebooting the computer, re-installing, and I still get the same results.

 

Anyone else have this happen?

If youre running Vista and UP (Win 7) try right clicking on the software exe file and choose Run as Administrator

Turn off any AntiVirus and try same thing..ESPECIALLY NORTONS/Symantec

Uninstall and install as administrator...when you first installed it did you save it..then right click and choose run as administrator...if you didnt install it that way chances are it wont run that way either

nope still no go.

 

I'm doing a bit of reserach online about CLR Error: 80004005 ... looks like a file system error... gonna try and see if I can find a solution.

I'm having a similiar issue.

I did a fresh install and the software will not run. It crashes every time I try to start it.

 

I tried re-installing, I tried right-click run as admin. I won't try disabling my Anti-virus (using MSE) because that's silly. Every other piece of software on my system works fine with my Anti-Virus.

 

I'm on Win7 64-bit, 8GB RAM, Intel i7-2600K, ASUS motherboard.

After doing a bit of research, it seems like the error has something to do with .NET Framework.

 

The solutions in the posts I read was to uninstall .NET Framework items and re-install the newest version.

 

I uninstalled BB Link and .NET Framework, downloaded and installed the newest version of .NET Framework, re-installed BB Link.

 

Still getting the same error...
