Cannot connect BB10 to computer to install Link software

Every time I try to connect my Z10 to my computer to install Link it connects, then disconnects, over and over. I have tried multiple times, even downloaded Link and tried that way and nothing is working. I looked for a phone number to call and get assistance and all I can find is online help. 

 

I would like to get this software installed and connect my phone to my computer.

I have downloaded Link from the site and attempted multiple times to install it. It gets about 3/4 the way through and opens the command prompt to C:/windows/system32/netsh.exe and freezes my system every single time, forcing me to do a hard reboot. I'm running Windows XP Home. I am going to attempt on my laptop which runs Windows 7 but I don't expect any success.
